Andrew & Calum Telfer

Andrew and Calum are 5th generation dairy farmers. They just can't live without their herd of cows!. The boys both went to Kilmacolm Primary, then went onto Port Glasgow High School where they sat their Standard grades, then decided to come back home to the farm to work. Both joined the local Young Farmer club (West Renfrewshire YFC) where they did treasurer and chairman posts through the years.

Now the guys think it’s time for you the public to experience the great taste of their pasteurised milk. They feel passionately about buying local and reducing food miles in the food industry!

The Farm

Our farm is situated 2 miles southwest of Kilmacolm on the B786 road to Lochwinnoch. The family have been here for over 100 years milking our Holstein Friesian cows and are the oldest pedigree herd in the UK. The cows are fed on a grass base ration. They graze our lush green grass through the summer months then in the chilly wet months of winter are brought inside to a shed and eat the grass silage we make throughout the summer.
